UWF Summer and Fall admissions 2021 are now open!
The University of West Florida application for admission into the Summer and Fall 2021 semesters are open, so students can begin the admissions process!
Test Score Update:
Currently, the Florida Board of Governors is still requiring incoming students to have at least one ACT or SAT test on file to be reviewed for an admissions decision. I encourage you to have students sign up for the soonest test if they have not already. From my research, both ACT and SAT are offering September and October tests for students.
Application Requirements:
In regards to our Admissions Process, the application remains the same. Each student will need the following for their application to be complete and ready for review:
- $30 Application Fee or Fee Waiver
- Official High School Transcript
- Official ACT/SAT Test Scores
For the transcripts, I am able to accept those through email if it comes directly from you using an official school email address. So if you or your Registrar prefer to email the transcripts to me, you are more than welcome to do so. Another friendly reminder, if ACT/SAT test scores are on the high school transcript and then the transcript is sent electronically - the test scores will not show up on the electronic transcript. The electronic delivery service will remove the scores from the transcript before directing it to our office.
Dates and Deadlines:
This year, we have the same December 1st Priority Deadline for admissions consideration. For scholarships: students must have a complete application and all items they wish to be reviewed for merit-based scholarship consideration submitted and processed prior to the priority deadline (December 1, 2020). I recommend letting students know that processing time takes 7-10 business days so completing their application early will allow us more time to work with them to make sure we have all items.
This year, we will not be releasing any admissions decisions on a rolling basis until the Spring. All students who have met the priority deadline will receive their admissions decision and merit-based scholarship offer in mid-January 2021. This decision will be updated in their 'Application Status' in their My UWF portal followed by mailed communication.
